Business School
For Real Estate Pros™ Mission Statement
The mission
of The Business School for Real Estate Pros™ is to create a
fun, exciting, on-the-edge learning environment that
re-ignites the joy of learning, delivers professional
growth programs that lead to financial freedom and
personal growth programs that re-awaken the human spirit.
Humans are
naturally pre-disposed to respond favorable toward one
another. When the human spirit is fueled by financial
independence and all wants and needs are provided, benevolence
and altruism follow and a person becomes more inclined to
contribute to humanity and more able fulfill their life’s
purpose.
Developing
such individuals is the mission of The Business School for
Real Estate Pros™
What Do We Do?
As business people, our job is
the same as every businessperson: find problems and solve
them. The more problems you solve, the bigger your check is.
The bigger the problems you solve, the bigger your check is.
If you want to become really, really rich, go find lots of big
problems and solve them. The check is in the solution.
Since our business is real
estate education, we looked there first to see if there were
any problems that needed solving.
Problem One
The biggest problem inherent
in the real estate industry is attrition. Most people who
enter the business don’t last. The answer is different based
on who you ask and actual statistics are hard to find.
However, most who have extensive experience in the business
agree the number is upwards of 80%.
Problem Two
The second biggest problem is
income levels. According the National Association of Realtors®’
web site, the national average annual income for a Realtor
with five years experience is $27,700. and they are paying
their Broker, their taxes and their expenses out of that.
Problem Three
The third problem is the
information on the licensing exams falls short of preparing
agents for the real world of real estate. As we write in our
book, How to Get Rich in Real Estate AND Have a Life, we have
never had a buyer ask us how many square feet are in an acre.
We suggest that the technical licensing information be
supplemented with additional education in the subjects of
business and investing.
Problem Four
The fourth problem is that
most people are not totally overjoyed at the Prospect of
education. This is where we feel the educational system has
let its customers down. In fact, it is one of the few
businesses that blames its customers for its problems. Having
one person talk to a group of people isn’t education. It is
lecturing and it is painful and boring. Many, many students in
today’s educational system cannot study subjects they want to
study and are forced to study subjects they have no interest
in. Many of these classes contain obsolete, irrelevant
information taught by tenured professors who have no
motivation or interest in making their classes relevant,
interesting, exciting, anticipated or fun.
Problem Five
The fifth problem is that,
except for a small percentage, even Realtors® that were
financially successful became that way at the expense of their
families or social lives and had little or no time to enjoy
their financial success. No matter how successful they were
financially, they could not stop or their income would stop.
They had no life outside real estate.
Possible
Solutions to These Problems
One of the biggest challenges
facing Realtors® is how simple this business looks
on the surface in comparison to how difficult it can be once
they are in it.
This is the Three Step Success
System we have developed specifically for Realtors®.
Most agents want to know two things: what to do and how to do
it.
Step One
Tell all new agents the truth
about the licensing process. The truth is, obtaining the real
estate license guarantees nothing. It is merely the entry fee
you pay to get into the game. It does not give you the skills
to play the game. Once licensed, Realtors® need to combine
their technical licensing education with a business and
investing education.
Step Two
For problems one through three
we offer this solution: begin now designing and building your
own real estate business. Step Two is about designing,
building, and running a business that works…so you don’t have
to. Step Two consists of two Business Building programs, each
three days in duration. They are The Fundamentals of Business
Building and Advanced Business Building Strategies. These two
programs are designed to teach Realtors® more than just marketing
and sales. We teach the Business
Blueprint which covers the six components of a business
and how they function and fit together to form a synchronized
whole.
Step Three
Step Three is investing the
profits back into low risk, high yield investment properties
to produce passive income; money that comes in whether you
work or not. Step Three consists of a three-day program titled
Investment Strategies of the Rich. Most of the wealth in the
world is created by people who own their own business and hold
that wealth in real estate. With their knowledge of property
values, real estate contracts, construction techniques and
marketing trends and demographics, Realtors® are in a unique position
to take advantage of the investment opportunities real estate
has to offer.

How We Do It
Experiential and Accelerated
Learning Techniques
We provide a unique approach
to our professional and personal development programs. By
utilizing “Experiential Learning”, all our programs are taught
in a fun, engaging, interactive environment. Rather than tell
participants about business and investing subjects, we give
them an experience of them. We do that by playing simulated
business games and creating real life situations in class in
lieu of lecture. Instead of telling people what we think they
should know, we let them play games that allow them to
discover what they need to know.
Accelerated learning involves
incorporating both right and left hemispheres of the brain. By
utilizing oversized flip charts, color, rock and roll and
baroque music and frequent breaks combined with games and
activities, participants learn more information in less time
with greater retention.
For more information on how we
teach, see the Recommended Reading list section titled
“Education: How to Teach and Learn”. Here you will find some
of the books we have studied to create an ideal learning
environment and implement teaching styles, strategies and
techniques that put the joy and excitement into the natural
learning process. Learning is fun! Learning how to get rich is
even more fun!
Our Teaching
Philosophy
With a personal growth aspect
included, our programs are designed to leave participants with
the message that is at the core of our teaching philosophy;
You were born a genius and designed to be an incredible
success. |
